Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 11 feet (3.4 meters) and growing as high as 902 feet (274.9 meters).
It takes 2 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are flat and wavy.
The sickle shaped, waxy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are generally indigo, and have wavy edges.
During late spring, the bine produces thick bunches of tiny bronze flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a few tiny fruits.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
