Flame Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs, In rainforests, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores.
