Climbing Giant Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This massive vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,995 feet (912.9 meters) and growing as high as 424 feet (129.2 meters).

It takes 22 years for the lime green or gentle purple stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.9 feet (58 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The finger-like, smooth leaves reach up to 2.4 feet (74 cm) in length. They are grey and brown, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of small caramel flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces plenty of small berries.
