Coffee Blossom

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 6 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the small, purple leaves are wide with serrated edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with solid slate petals decorated with muted green dots and a silver central disk. The flower head is largely flat with 23 tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like coffee, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
