Burgundy V-Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In damp forests, In rainforests, and In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
