Crescent Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In damp forests, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely frail.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
