Magenta Bladevine

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The tapering stem is sky blue, and is covered in hundreds of flexible slate spines. The smooth-edged, spear shaped leaves are solid magenta with purple edges. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are rigid, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with light brown petals on the lower layer and purple petals decorated with amber dots on the inner layer. The central disk is black grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 12 petals. It has a soft scent that smells like meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the caramel flesh is rough, and the light grey sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
