Spinevine

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This colossal caudiciform grows up to 171 feet (52.1 meters) tall. The narrow stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in large amounts of rigid dull green spines. It has a twisting, very thick, dull green trunk atop a thick tripod of waxy, exposed roots. The branches are wide and green and are short, thin and wispy.

The smooth-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are generally violet. They are flimsy, and do not detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 47 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are gold on the underside and blue on the top, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like glue.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the turquoise flesh is rough, and the cyan sap is thin.

It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for making paper
The entire flower is edible and overwhelmingly spicy.
