Waterpine

This average-sized tree grows up to 60 meters (196.9 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1393 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in fine, rough, dark green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is mahogany-coloured.

The sparse amount of branches are short stubs, covered with large amounts of huge, green needles. The needles themselves are rigid.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, slate seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
