Turquoise Blackflower

This average-sized flower grows up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. Its orange stem is thick, and the tiny, hazel leaves are asymmetrical with irregular edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

A single large flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 34 cm (13.4 inches) wide, with petals that are turquoise in the center, black in the middle and aquamarine at the edges. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They are hardy.

It has a faint scent that smells like fresh linen, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
