Bloodvine

This short vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 182 feet (55.5 meters).

It takes 10 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.

The circular, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are solid blood red or gold, with red splotches, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many small indigo flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of tiny fruits.
