Wrinklewood

This average-sized tree grows up to 54 meters (177.2 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 61 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, wavy trunk covered in thick, wrinkled, light brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is black.

The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of smooth, small, needle-like leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are found in grey, orange and sky blue varieties.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, white, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
