Lavenderburst Flower

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) tall. Its lime green stem is wispy, and the tiny, green leaves are dark green on the underside and are stiff, pointed with wavy edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 30 cm (11.8 inches) wide, with gold petals on the lower layer and blood red petals decorated with white dots on the inner layer. The central disk is gold. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like lavender, and it has a fair amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
