Coppervine

This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 790 feet (240.8 meters).

It takes 3 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and woody.

The pleated, soft leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are bronze and yellow, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of tiny olive flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of very large seed pods.
