Lemon Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On trees.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly sturdy.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
