Crimson Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters)0. It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 5 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are soft and flexible.

The needle-like, leathery leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are a shade of yellow that gradient shifts to crimson at the top, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of tiny turquoise flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces a few tiny fruits.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
