Redgrass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short, light brown grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in sparse patches that are durable and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, red spikelet.
During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The sap is edible and very salty.
