Gray-green Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly resistant.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
