Speckled Black Shrubs

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 14 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, straight stems covered in delicate, silky, black with white speckled bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are very long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, sickle shaped, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid cyan or hazel, with aquamarine edges, durable and leathery.

It produces large amounts of medium-sized, bronze flowers with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like wet dog. In early autumn it forms smalldark brown seed pods.
