Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In damp forests, and On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly frail.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
