Brownvine

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short, slate grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The pleated stalks grow in large clumps that are rigid.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, brown tuft.

During the early winter, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of giant grains.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
