Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 19 feet (5.8 meters) and growing as high as 48 feet (14.6 meters).
It takes 5 months for the olive or olive stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and rubbery.
The broad, flat, sticky leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are turquoise and hazel, and have ripped edges.
During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of small light grey flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny fruits.
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It is suitable for making paper
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
