Crimson Puffgrass

This small, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in small clumps that are robust.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red puff.

During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of tiny grains.
