Caramelgrass

This modest-sized, gray-green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in thin clumps that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, caramel flower.

During the early summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of tiny grains.
