Yellowwood

This huge tree grows up to 130 meters (426.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 615 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in silky, yellow bark, and inside, the flexible wood is gray.

The sparse amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with small amounts of covered in fine hairs, huge, circular leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are lilac and brilliant yellow.

In late summer it forms small, dull orange, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
