Copperpetal

This large flower grows up to 5.3 feet (1.6 meters) tall. Its orange stem is very thin and straight, and the large, orange leaves are very narrow and elongated with tattered edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 5 to 7 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 75 cm (29.5 inches) wide, with petals that are copper on the underside and purple on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like skunk spray, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
