Blueberry Tree

This giant fruit tree grows up to 52 feet (15.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 64 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a wide, angular trunk covered in rough, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is gray.

The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with handfuls of miniature, finger-like leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are dark orange and blue.

In early spring, it produces thousands of small, violet blossoms with needle-like petals. They are very delicate and have the faintest scent that smells like baby powder.

In early autumn it produces , 3 pointed fruit. The clammy azure skin is stretchy and inedible, and the soft turquoise flesh is sour and syrupy. The beige seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
