Amber Fruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in silky, silver and white bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is light brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of large, long, tapering leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are amber and violet.

In early spring, it produces many small, cream blossoms with 6 circular shaped petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like cotton.

In mid-summer it produces , circular fruit. The soft amber skin is peel-able and inedible, and the very soft caramel flesh is sweet and sour and oily. The green seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
