Copper

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. Its cream and copper stem is very thick and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, moss green leaves are asymmetrical with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 34 cm (13.4 inches) wide, with solid gold petals and a slate central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. They are very delicate.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like old shoes, and it has very little pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
