Sky Blue Fruit Tree

This short fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 26 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a flexible, wavy trunk covered in rough, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is burgundy-brown.

The small clumps of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small bunches of small, very thick leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue on the sides and subtle green at the center.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of small, grey blossoms with long, tapering petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like glue.

In early summer it produces , 3 pointed fruit. The waxy blood red skin is thin and inedible, and the soft sky blue flesh is sweet and very juicy. The slate seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
