Burgundy Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 32 feet (9.8 meters) and growing as high as 418 feet (127.4 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 12 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The cylindrical, soft leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are caramel with aquamarine tips, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces large amounts of small florescent blue flowers.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
