Turquoise
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 55 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, angular trunk covered in cracked, light brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is black with white speckles.
The numerous branches are very short, thin and wispy and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, wispy leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are generally peach.
In early spring, it produces thick bunches of giant, turquoise blossoms with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like pot-purri.
In mid-summer it produces tiny, broad, flat fruit. The hairy dark grey skin is delicate and spicy and sour, and the very soft sky blue flesh is sour and very juicy. The white seed is large and is in the centre of the fruit.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It comes in 12 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
