Copperflower

This giant flower grows up to 10.3 feet (3.1 meters) tall. Its copper stem is very thin and splits into dozens of branching stems at the base, and the miniature, orange-yellow leaves are 6 pointed with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 73 cm (28.7 inches) wide, with solid cream petals decorated with brown dots and a caramel central disk. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like baby powder, and it has very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
