Lime Spine Succulent

This big cactus grows up to 85 feet (25.9 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 very thin stems. Each stem is green, and is covered in dozens of rigid lime spines.

It is quick growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are ashy orange on the edges and cream at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like pineapple.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the muted red flesh is smooth, and the aquamarine sap is thin.
