Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 65 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in very thick, knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy.
The sparse amount of branches are short and thick and are covered with copious amounts of giant, very thick leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are solid turquoise with crimson edges.
In early spring, it produces copious amounts of small, blue blossoms with wide petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like honeysuckle.
In mid-summer it produces small, oblong fruit. The waxy peach skin is thick and salty, and the slightly crunchy grey flesh is salty and dry. The gold seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
