Pink Puff Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This colossal, gray-green grass grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are durable and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, pink puff.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of tiny grains.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly bitter.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
