This cream or crimson moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On trees.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very frail; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
