Crimson Vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 34 feet (10.4 meters) and growing as high as 379 feet (115.5 meters).

It takes 6 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The finger-like, clammy leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are solid red with blood red streaks, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of large grey flowers.
