Indigo Vine

This colossal bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 3,357 feet (1,023.2 meters) and growing as high as 379 feet (115.5 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 11 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.6 feet (48 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The thick, crispy leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) in length. They are beige on the edges and indigo at the center, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a handful of colossal light blue flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of small fruits.
