Orange Spikeactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This big cactus grows up to 98 feet (29.9 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is orange, and is covered in handfuls of fine, green, hair-like spines.
It is slow growing, taking 16 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are lilac at the sides and magenta at the center grows at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 42 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a soft scent that smells like paint.
The cactus's skin is thick, the blue flesh is smooth, and the caramel sap is thin.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
