Caramelactus

This small cactus grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The pleated stem is lime green, and is covered in large amounts of flexible white spines.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are caramel on the edges and cyan at the center, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with 15 raised round-tipped petals. It has a faint scent that smells like cinnamon.

The cactus's skin is thin, the caramel flesh is sticky, and the magenta sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
