Crimsonvine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This enormous bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,447 feet (745.8 meters) and growing as high as 640 feet (195.1 meters).
It takes 24 years for the lime or crimson stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4.7 feet (1.4 meters) and are tough and woody.
The pleated, sticky leaves reach up to 2.7 feet (81 cm) in length. They are grey with yellow tips, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the bine produces a handful of large gold flowers.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It can survive a long time without water.
