Copper Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized tree grows up to 55 meters (180.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 623 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in knobbly, gray bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale yellow.

The abundance of branches are long, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of clammy, small, long, tapering leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in intense purple, copper and cream varieties.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, pale orange seed pods.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

Several parts of the grass have medicinal properties.
