Bronze

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 168 feet (51.2 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is gray, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible olive spines. The stumpy leaves are found in bronze and silver varieties. Thick bunches of them grow on bulbous, orange-yellow branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are hardy, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 23 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid grey petals decorated with brilliant yellow dots and a peach central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with 39 tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has a soft scent that smells like alcohol.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the grey flesh is waxy, and the indigo sap is thin.
