Copper

This large fruit tree grows up to 23 feet (7.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 41 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, wonky trunk covered in hard, rough, light gray bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.

The numerous branches are long, thin and wispy and are covered with small amounts of tiny, stiff, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are emerald with azure tips.

In early spring, it produces dozens of large, copper blossoms with stiff, pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like sugar.

In early winter it produces , fan-like fruit. The crispy brilliant yellow skin is tough and inedible, and the slightly crunchy hazel flesh is spicy and sticky. The crimson seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
