Orange-Yellow Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is slightly delicate.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
