Brown Tuftgrass

This large, brown grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The pleated stalks grow in large clumps that are strong.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, grey tuft.

During the mid-summer, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.
