Brownvine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 204 feet (62.2 meters) and growing as high as 92 feet (28.0 meters).

It takes 4 years for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1.2 feet (36 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The teardrop-shaped, smooth leaves reach up to 2.5 feet (76 cm) in length. They are solid brown or hazel, with beige zig-zags, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of average violet flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a few small seed pods.
