Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On trees.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly frail; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

The leaves and petals are often used to make tea.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
