Whitefern

This white or light brown moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In heathlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly flimsy.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
